    Este un arbore bătrân care îmbogățește ecosistemul din această zonă. Poate oferi adăpost pentru diferite viețuitoare mici și păsări. Arborele se află la marginea DN 7C Transfăgărășan, drum tranzitat de foarte mulți turiști și este un element plăcut ochiului.
