| Arborele are un nod urias pe trunchi. Este fara indoiala printre cei mai mari frasini din Cluj. Faptul ca este foarte aproape (la ordinul zecilor de m) de un plop mare (ca 500 cm, vezi harta) denota ca cei doi arbori s-au dezvoltat pana recent in conditii stabile de mediu urban. Stim ca s-a taiat un plop mare (butucul este actualmente pus la vedere in Gradina Botanica) din regiunea aceea. Zona este in deplina transformare, astfel protejarea formala a acestor arbori ar fi necesara. | |
