| Localnicii spun că în trecut fulgerul a lovit copacul, dar el a supraviețuit, iar mai târziu localnicii i-au dat foc, dat el tot a supraviețuit. E un ”supraviețuitor” în ochii localnicilor. Copacul a fost selectat ca fiind una dintre cele mai bătrâni și valoroase arbori din localitatea Sâncrăieni, de către elevii locali (Grupul Junior Ranger), în cadrul unui proiect cu titlul „Junior Rangeri pentru natură” (finanţat de Fundația pentru Parteneriat şi MOL România) | |
