| În 1947 exemplarul a fost studiat de botanistul academician dr. Traian Săvulescu , studiu în care s-a apreciat vârsta acestora pe baza inelelor unor ramuri tăiate cu acest scop la 645 ani. Probabil acest exemplar era deja prezent in curtea bisericii din localitate, atestate din cel putin 1332 cum reiese din registrele papale. | |
