| Stejarul etse cel mai mare pe care il cunoastem din orasul Cluj - este la periferia orasului, peisajul unde se afla fiind pasune cu secole in urma. Este periclitat de o constructie din vecinatate. Arborele are coronament rotund, urias si fructifica foarte bine. Avand coronament intreg si fiind sanatos, nu am identificat gauri de ciocanitori pe scoarta, am gasit insa gandaci harlequin - buburuza/mamaruta invaziva. Ar putea fi, fara indoiala, arbore monument. Al doilea stejar mare din oras se afla in curtea Institutului de Oncologie si are 500 cm - se poate vizita pe harta. Utilajele grele stationate sub coronament in 2015-2016 foarte probabil au compactat solul si asta a afectat sistemul radicular. Daca asta s-a intamplat asa cum banuim, ne asteptam ca in urmatorii ani sa apara elemente uscate pe partea dinspre drum a coroanei. Notă: Stejarul de la Oncologie a fost tăiat în 2019. | |
