| Acest arbore se află pe una dintre cele mai mari pășuni cu peri din Transilvania și România. Aceste pășuni au o importanță istorică, culturală, biologică și naturală deosebită. În timp ce perii sunt relativ comuni încă pe pășunile noastre (cu toate că aceste pășuni devin din ce în ce mai rare...vezi observațiile la ceilalți arbori de pa această pășune), merii pădureți sunt și mai rari.
