| Există puține locuri în județ și în țară care se pot mândri cu copaci care nu au fost încă sacrificați în numele industriei lemnului. Măderat are un astfel de copac (aparținând orașului Pâncota), numele său complet fiind Sequoiadendron giganteum. Provine din America de Nord și ne-a fost adus de baronul DIETRICH JOZEF, conducătorul Pâncotei și al împrejurimilor sale din 1820 până în 1855. | |
