| Este o specie originară din America de Nord, se număra printre cele mai longevive specii ale planetei. În România exista doar câteva exemplare care au ajuns la aceste dimensiuni şi vârstă, originea acestor trei specii nu se ştie concret se presupune doar ca au fost dăruite de către baronul Dietrich Jozsef despre care ştim că a mai plantat câteva specii de Sequoia şi la Pâncota, judeţul Arad. | |
