| A fost plantat la începutul anilor 1900 de către Dăescu I B Petre pentru a marca linia de hotar a proprietății. A fost martorul a 2 războaie mondiale, servind în cel de-al doilea război mondial ca reper aviatic (în apropiere se află Aerodromul Balota), iar de atunci a rămas reper pentru oamenii locului. De la începutul anilor '90 satul s-a depopulat încet încet, dar el continuă să vegheze semeț asupra locurilor. | |
